Aircraft brokerage

Aircraft Broker in Florida

Rust & Moth is an independent aircraft brokerage in Tampa, Florida. We help owners sell airplanes, and we help buyers find them, including off-market aircraft that never reach the public listings.

Selling an aircraft

Most owners list an airplane, answer the same questions for months, and negotiate against strangers one email at a time. We run it differently. You name the net you need, guaranteed in writing. We take the aircraft to the buyers we already know, plus the ones we find, and we coordinate everything from first call to closing day. If the sale does not beat your net, you owe us nothing.

The full picture of how a sale runs, and what it costs, is on our sell your aircraft page.

Buying an aircraft

Buyers come to us with a mission: a first jet, a faster twin, a trainer for a growing school, a specific model that rarely comes up. We work the phones and our seller network, including off-market aircraft that never reach the listing sites. When we find the right airplane, we help with the offer, the inspection, and the escrow closing. Start on the buy aircraft page.

Jets, turboprops, and pistons

Aircraft is our flagship market, and it runs the full range. Business jets for owners and companies moving up. Turboprops for buyers who want turbine reliability without a jet budget. Piston aircraft, from trainers and time-builders to high-performance singles and twins. Each segment has its own buyers, its own pricing logic, and its own traps, and we work in all three every week.

Why a broker, and why this one

Rust & Moth is a brokerage, not a dealership. We never buy, own, or take title to an aircraft. That matters, because our only job is the match and the terms, not moving inventory off a ramp. Colton Ecklund is the broker on every deal, based in Tampa, Florida, serving clients nationwide. One person, one phone number, and terms in writing before anyone spends a dollar.

Questions.

What does an aircraft broker charge?

Nothing up front. Our fee comes out of the sale price above the seller's guaranteed net. If we cannot beat the net, the seller owes us nothing.

Can you find an aircraft that is not listed?

Yes. A large share of our buying work is off-market. Owners tell us what may be available long before anything is advertised, and buyers with a clear mandate hear about it first.

Do you work outside Florida?

Yes. We are based in Tampa, Florida, and broker aircraft for buyers and sellers across the United States. Closings run through an independent escrow agent wherever the aircraft sits.
